He appeared to be alone and the cook asked him if he would like it cut into 4 pieces or 6. He thought about it for some time, then said, "Just cut it into 4 pieces, I don't think I am hungry enough to eat 6 pieces. Humor from our richest 'Humor Resource'......our kids It's the first day of school and the teacher thought she'd get to know the kids by asking their name and what their father does for a living. The first girl says, "My name is Mary and my daddy is a postman." The next is a boy who says, "I'm Andy and my dad is a mechanic." Another boy says, "My name is Jimmy and my dad is a striptease dancer in a gay club." The teacher gasps and quickly changes the subject, but later in the school yard the teacher approaches Jimmy and asks if it was really true that his father strips in a gay club. Jimmy blushed and said, "I'm sorry, but my dad is politician, and I was just too embarrassed to say so."
Feature of the month What does happiness do for us? People with a happy disposition are less prone to sickness according to a Reuters report. In a study, 193 healthy adults were exposed to a cold or virus. Those with a positive emotional personality did better in warding off illness. People with a positive emotional personality have different immune responses to the virus, lead study author Dr. Sheldon Cohen of Carnegie Mellon University of Pittsburgh reports. Those who were classified having a positive emotional personality were found to be happy, energetic and easy-going. Those who were found often unhappy, tense and hostile, were classified to have a negative style personality. Dr. Cohen concluded that not only were happy people less likely to develop a cold, but when they did, their self-rated symptoms were less severe. So what makes us happy? Suprisingly, the older you get the happier you are - until you reach very old age. According to a US study, the happiest age group is men 65 and older. The least happy men aged 18 - 29. A survey conducted by the Pew Research Center also found:
What role does money play in our happiness level? Although our culture calls upon us to buy bigger, better things, research shows that this does not buy happiness. These external factors will not bring you happiness. Why? Because true happiness only comes from within. The sooner you realize you can be happy in the 'now' - 'the present,' and with your current life circumstances, the sooner you will realize that happiness happens all around you.
