Welcome to the 37th Humormeister's Forum edition
First of all my apologies for the November newsletter. Technology is wonderful, but obviously not perfect!
This being the last newsletter of the year, I take the opportunity to wish you and yours a very Merry and Joyous Christmas along with best wishes for good health, happiness, success and loads of humor and laughter for the new year.
Happiness motivational quote of the month
"Often we underestimate the power of a touch, smile, kind word, listening ear, honest compliment, or small act of caring. They all can change a life." - Author unknown
Humor/Laughter quote
"I am thankful for laughter, except when milk comes out of my nose." - Woody Allen The 1 Minute Laugh
A husband visited a marriage counselor and said,"When we were first married, I would come home from work, my wife would bring me my slippers and our cute little dog would run around barking"
"Now after 10 years of marriage it's all different, I come home, the dog brings the slippers and my wife runs around barking."
"Why complain? said the marriage counselor, "You're still getting the same service!"
Humor from our richest 'Humor Resource'......our kids
Our daughter-in-law had trouble breaking our four-year-old grandson's habit from sucking his thumb, so she told him that if he kept on sucking his thumb his belly would swell up like a football.
One day she took him shopping with her and then stopped for lunch at a restaurant. When they finished their lunch and on the way out, our grandson spotted a very pregnant lady.
He walked up to her and said, "I know what you've been doing!"
Feature story of the month
Live every moment
"Life is short, break the rules, forgive quickly, kiss slowly, love truly, laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything that makes you smile." - Author unknown
The moments we notice are usually those which draw out the greatest emotions and realizations we have ever known.
Much of life is pent rushing from one moment to the next, hardly recognizing them, as they become a blur in our minds.
Life should be lived in the present, moment by moment. Unfortunately, people are so caught up in the 'What if's,' 'What could be,' and 'What isn't,' that they forget the only thing that counts.
The only reality is 'this very moment'. Don't spend your energies worrying about the past. You can't undo the past as it is now history.
Think about today and tomorrow and enjoy the present. Be prepared to act upon the opportunities that present themselves to you instead of reacting with indecision and non-action.
The choice is yours. Make the most of it. Life can be joyful and enjoyed if you choose to 'cease the moment!'
