The 1 Minute Laugh
When our lawnmower broke down, my wife kept hinting to me that I should get it fixed, but somehow I always had something else to take care of first, the truck, the car, playing golf etc.
Finally she thought of a clever way to make her point. When I arrived home one day, I found her seated in the tall grass busily snipping away with a tiny pair of scissors.
I watche4d silently for a short time and then went into the house. When I came out again, I handed her a toothbrush. I said, "When you finish cutting the grass, you might as well sweep the driveway."
The doctors say I will walk again, but I will always have a limp!
Humor from our richest 'Humor Resource'......our kids
My husband was packing for a business trip and our 3 year old daughter was having a wonderful time playing on the bed.
At one point she said, Daddy, look at this." and stuck out a finger.
Trying to keep her entertained, he reached out and stuck her tiny finger in his mouth and said, "Daddy is going to eat your finger!" Pretending to eat the finger before he rushed out of the room.
When he returned, his daughter was standing on the bed staring at her finger with a devastated look on her face.
He said, "What's wrong honey?"
She replied, What happened to my booger?"

feature of the month Steps towards immediate happiness
Curiosity, looking for something new results in a happier state of mind according to Todd Kashdan, Phd, Associate Professor at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.
He says, "when we are open to new experiences and relish the unknown, positive events linger and we extract more pleasure and meaning from them.
Spread kindness. A good deed, a kind smile, or an act of kindness doesn't cost us anything, but can be very rewarding with the feeling of happiness for the provider as well as the receiver.
Count your blessings. We have a lot to be thankful for. And no matter what difficulty we face, there are always people who are worse off than us.
Meditation, or connecting wit a higher power can provide great happiness and fulfillment.
Live and enjoy the moment. Enjoy every bit of happiness that comes your way. Savour life's simple joys.
Keep a 'happy journal' and when you have a 'down day' reflect on some of the joyful events you have recorded in you journal.
Exercise for fitness and enjoyment. Exercise is not only good for the body, it also provides a happy feeling when doing it. Laughing and jogging provide the body with similar endorphins.
Planning a vacation or trip can provide great satisfaction and joy. The planning and anticipation provide for great feelings.
Playing an instrument, or if you don't possess talent for playing, singing, whistling, humming, or listening to good music can provide happiness and fulfillment.
If you lose your zest for laughter - you lose your zest for life!
